1- Great to have you on our blog. Please, introduce yourself?
I’m Onarres, a Philly born rapper, songwriter and founder of Alpha & Omega records.

2- What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
Growing up I’ve had many musical influences in my family. I wrote my first song at age 7, I’ve been in love with the creative process since then. I chose music because I really love how lyrics/ music can change a persons mood instantly.

3- Tell us about your new Single. And what’s the story behind it?
Own lane is a diverse, upbeat and empowering song. When I wrote Own Lane my intent was to embrace individuality and diversity. So many times we are pressured to go with the status quo of society but for me and many others we prefer to do our own thing … in our Own Lane.

4- What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
I definitely don’t make “mumble music”. My music tells a story, the energy behind it is to uplift. Todays music trend is mostly sex filled vulgar. My music caters to everyday life- highs and lows. Lyrics that both males and females can relate too. I don’t just create songs… but stories over melodies.

5- What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
It’s so many cookie cutter artist today… embrace your own uniqueness and be yourself.

6- Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
I really love all genres of music, which is why my music is so diverse. My biggest music influences are Bon Jovi, Fall out boy, Beyoncé and Nas. My dream collaboration would be to work with My chemical Romance, to write for Beyoncé and to remix a Bon Jovi song.

7- If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Continue to stand in your individuality as I will do the same, know that I’m so grateful for all the support on my journey and I appreciate each and every one of y’all.

8- What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Definitely stay tuned for the release of my Own lane video … also my next single No Beef will serve as all the music protein you need (smiles)
