Our exclusive interview with Azazel The Marine


1- Great to have you on our blog. Please, introduce yourself? 
Azazel The Marine is an American recording artist. Born in Trinidad but raised in Brooklyn, indie rapper and decorated combat US Marine veteran Azazel is a force to be reckoned with.
 
2- What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
Music really took off for him after retiring from the Military. 
Music has alleviated a lot of his internal quarrels as he vents on the mic..music making is his therapy. 
When recording he thinks of his brothers in arms that have fallen and can’t live out life the way they had originally planned.

3- Tell us about your new Single. And what’s the story behind it?
The follow up project to debut ep “First 2 Fight” is called “War Money” and will be available 2022. The brand represents a military background type of mind set and I try to bring P.T.S.D awareness with my content.

4- What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
His musical ability is versatile and is gaining him a new take on life outside of the military. He is a humble and inspiring artist. His story is motivational. He now utilizes music as an outlet to tell his story and experiences in an artistic way.

- How would you describe it?
His lyrical delivery is diabolical, clever and raw. After serving in the USMC Azazel embraced music as a creative outlet to help control his P.T.S.D.

5- What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
“Build your brand/business and don’t get caught up in what everyone else is doing”.

6- Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
Musical pioneers such as Tupac and Biggie have played a huge role in inspiring and helping Azazel shape his own sound.

- And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
I love love to collaborate with Bone Thugs and Harmony.

7- If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
“ Do not take things personal and do not be easily offended .”

8- What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Full-length project scheduled to drop in 2022.
